Week 1: Recap By Boris, SFBHL Commissioner and Aspiring Sports Writer 9/18/15   The BHL opened it’s 3rd season with a prime-time matchup between the heavily favored season 1 champions, The Slapdicks; and BHL veterans, The Brewings. The unprecedented match ended with an upset as The Brewings won two out of the three games in their match. The second match was between two new franchises that came out of the expansion era of the league, Victorious Secret and The Puck Buddies. As the name suggests, Victorious Secret was victorious as they took two out of the three games in a matchup that was very defense-oriented. The matchup was so low scoring that the Puck buddies were shut out in the second game and lost by two goals.   The next matchup was between the  4th Line Grindrs and the heavily touted rookie team, Pucky Brewster. The new team certainly lived up to the hype as Dana, the lead scorer and coveted prospect, crushed the opposition in an unreal come-from-behind performance in where she scored 5 individual goals. Pucky Brewster carved through 4th Line’s swiss cheese defense to take the matchup 2 games to 1. The fourth match was between hyped up new-comer, Average Joes, and imported team from the LBH (League of Bubble Hockey), Aces. The Average Joes got off to a shaky start as they only scored 1 goal against Aces’s 4. The heavily touted prospect in Germany, Paul R, raised a lot of doubts in game 1 as he was left with 0 goals to his name. Game 2 was a different story as Paul scored 4 individual goals to to take a close game 2.   The Average Joes will be facing an uphill climb as spectators wait and see if this team will come to form throughout the season.   Finally the last match was between the defending champions, Adopt a Highway and LBH imported team, DeRangers. Leading scorer, BMurph, was quick to silence the doubters as he scored 5 individual goals in a game 1 victory that lead to this season’s first sweep as Adopt a Highway took DeRangers 3 games to 0.   Join us next Wednesday @ Cease & Desist from 7-9...

Matchups: Week 1 By Boris, SFBHL Commissioner and Aspiring Sports Writer 9/16/15 This is it. This is the moment we have all been waiting for. The opening week of Season 3 is here and it promises to be glorious. Now even though it’s so early into the season and it’s impossible for the matchups to be crucial to the Emperor Boris Cup seedings, there are some matches that could potentially make a statement for the weeks to come. Adopt a Highway has been faced with a lot of doubt this past off season as only half the team’s players are returning to defend their championship title. Season 1 champions, Slapdicks, are poised to return to former glory as reports show that they have alledgedly been training in the offseason in Colorado where the air is thinner. Even though the established franchises are making a reappearance there are still quite a few new faces this season that are determined to make a name for themselves such as rookie teams, Pucky Brewster and Average Joes. When asked about what he felt about the season opener tonight, Boris responded by handing me a shot of Vodka and saying, Drink.Boris Home Away The Slapdicks The Brewings 4th Line Grinders Pucky Brewster Aces Average Joes Adopt a Highway (Defending Champs) The DeRangers Join in on the season opener tonight from 7-9 PM @ Cease &...

Bubble Hockey League is Back! By Boris, SFBHL Commissioner and Aspiring Sports Writer 8/25/15 The last season the B.H.L had was two years ago. The winners, Adobt-a-Highway were crowned champions and cemented their place in B.H.L history. Commissioner Boris joyfully handed over the coveted Emperor Boris Cup to deserving players, Bmurph and Jordan. It was truly one of the most exciting seasons that the young league has ever had. But then what happened? What happened to the league? Reports say that Boris went back to the motherland (Russia) to go on an apparent vision quest to figure out how to make the league even better. Reporters caught up with Boris at the airport to ask him about his upcoming trip and his response summed up the beauty in his simplicity: I go on quest now.Boris After two years of absence, Boris is back. He was reportedly seen over at the new bar on mission street, Cease & Desist. Sources say that the new bar will host the upcoming third season as Boris was seen giving bear hugs to the employees that work there. The New Season starts on 9/16/2015 at 7:00 PM at Cease &...
